Doreen Weston - Owner
Ms. Weston has been involved in the Saddlebred Industry for most of her life as an exhibitor and a breeder. She started riding when she was in the third grade, and has shown at most of the major horse shows in the United States. Horses from her stables have won 7 World Championship Classes at the Kentucky State Fair, where she and her husband took 3 horses and won 3 classes as amateurs the first year they showed there.
Ms. Weston and her husband, David have owned and operated several farms in New Jersey. They owned Cedar Hill Farm, where they offered riding lessons, boarded horses, and engaged in the buying and selling of horses. They also owned Sunhaven Farm, which was primarily a breeding operation and they stood the ASB Stallions Ebony Artist and Supreme Thunder. For the past 20 years, they have been at Smoke Hollow Farm in Pittstown, NJ, where they have owned and shown such top Saddlebred horses as Nahema, CH Jane Doe, WGC CH Blue Chipper, WC CH Mr. Snuffleupagus, Imphallible, CH Sagaman just to name a few. Ms. Weston managed the Good Time Horse Show in New Jersey for two years, was Treasurer of the ASHA of NJ for three years, and is a member of the ESHBA, the ASHBOA of NJ, PSHA, and the USEF. |
Brian Campbell - Instructor
Brian has been with Smoke Hollow since 2000, both as a customer and as an instructor.
With his calm manner he is good at bringing out the best in timid and first time riders, and building their confidence. Having studied some Dressage and Huntseat, Brian has a unique perspective to assist those wishing to change disciplines, or just experience something new. Though currently showing his Saddlebred "Harbor Shores" (Callie) in Open Park he is experienced showing English Country Pleasure as well. |
