Nahema Shown above by Doreen Weston in Ladies' Fine Harness, Nahema has been proclaimed by many to be one of the most beautiful Saddlebred mares they have known. She started her show career as a weanling and was one of the top finalists in the Saddlebred Breeders Jackpot. She was bred by William Shatner and is by his successful stallion, Sultan's Great Day, and out of the great mare Jewels Lemon Scent who is by Family Jewels. Doreen acquired her about a week before the 1995 Devon Horse Show and brought her there to win the Ladies Fine Harness Championship. They went on that year and the next to win several championships, including the Amateur Fine Harness World Championship (1995) and Reserve Open Fine Harness Mare (1996) at Louisville. |
